Q.16: What is Domain assigning (A record)? All servers on the Internet have an IP address that consists of a set of four numbers like 123.45.6.78 By assigning a name to the IP address – or vice versa - the web becomes easier to use. URL addresses (domain names) are obtainable from many sources. A domain name can have more than one IP address. For example: MYSITE.COM is assigned IP address 124.32.9.76 or SALES.MYSITE.COM is assigned IP address 124.32.9.76 and 124.32.9.77 Related Questions: Q.13: What are DNS records?
