Q.19: What is POP3? POP3 (Post Office Protocol 3) is the most recent version of e-mail software. It is a client/server protocol in which e-mail is received and held for you by your Internet server. Periodically, you (or your client e-mail receiver) check your mailbox on the server and download mail. POP3 is built into the Netmanage suite of Internet products and one of the most popular e-mail products. Related Questions: Q.20: Do I get POP3 facility with my Rediffmail Pro account? |
