Changing file permissions
You can change the read, write, or execute permissions of files you own on your site. However, you cannot change permissions of files in the /home or / (root) directories.
To change a file's permissions:
In the shortcuts area of the Home page, click Manage Files (File Manager section). The directory list is displayed.
If necessary, drill down to the directory that contains the file you want to change.
In the Path form, locate the file you want to change, and click or next to it.
The file window opens displaying the current permissions.
In the Permissions area of the file window, select the check box to grant permission or clear the check box to deny permission.
Note: Some changes, such as removing Read permission from the owner of a file, cannot be made.
Click Update Permissions.
