IDN compatibility requirements for applications
Applications must be IDN-compliant in order to work with internationalized domain names. The following sections lists some of the applications that are IDN-compliant along with their requirements.
Important: If your application is not IDN-compliant, you must use the ASCII-encoded representation of the domain name to access the domain. To view the ASCII-encoded representation, refer to your account details provided in the email sent by your service provider. If you are using the Microsoft® Windows platform, you will need to install native fonts on your system to ensure that the non-ASCII characters are rendered correctly.
