Q.01: What is a Shared Hosting Pack?
A shared hosting pack is one wherein you can buy facility to host multiple domains in a block of space bought. e.g. facility to host 20 domains in 500MB web space. Then you can allocate the space as required for each domain.

Q.02: How do I purchase a Shared Hosting pack?
- Login to Rediff Business Solutions
- Click on "Buy Shared Hosting Solutions" under the "Quick Links" section on the Control Panel page
- Select the pack of your choice
- Proceed to buy and confirm the order

Q.03: For how many years can I buy a share hosting pack?
You can buy it only for a period of one year.
e.g. If you have bought your shared hosting pack on 26th November 2005, this pack will be valid till 25th November 2006.
Hosting services for all the domains hosted under this pack will cease on the expiry date. The pack then needs to be renewed to continue the hosting services.

Q.04: Where can I see the Pack pricing?
When you choose the package details, the duration, web space allocation, the pricing of every pack you buy, will be visible alongside the pack.
You can also check prices on the Control Panel page by clicking on the price list.

Q.06: How do I manage my pack?
Shared hosting packs give you the flexibility to split up web space for individual domains according to your requirements. To allocate space and manage your domains effectively.
- Click on the 'Allocate domain' alongside the pack you wish to split up on the pack summary page
- Enter the existing domain you wish to allocate space for
- Confirm your domain by clicking on ' Yes this is my domain name'
- Enter the add space, the hosting type and customer and click on submit

You can host the domains on Windows as well as Linux platforms depending on your preference.

Q.08: How do I add a Domain to a pack?
a) For existing Domains Refer to Q.6
b) For new Domains
- Search for a domain name of your choice by clicking on 'Book a Domain' on the home page.
- Book it online
- Click on the pack no from which you'd like to allocate space to this domain
- Click on 'Allocate Domain' and enter the url of the domain you just bought
- Click on 'Yes this is my domain proceed'
- Enter the add space, the hosting type and customer and click on submit

- Click on the pack no you wish to add space to
- Click on 'Buy additional space'
- Choose the storage packs from the drop down menu and click on 'Submit'

Click on the pack you wish to split up on the pack summary page.
- Click on 'Add' along the domain you wish to allocate space to.
- Enter the web space and click on 'Submit'.

Q.13: How do I delete a domain hosted in the pack?
Click on delete domain along the domain you wish to delete on the individual pack page.

Q.14: What do you mean by Deleted Domain?
Deleted domain is the one that you have discontinued by choice. Once deleted this domain cannot be renewed or accessed.

Q.15: Will I be warned when I exceed the allotted quota of web space?
Yes, you will be warned when you exceed the allotted quota.

Q.16: Can I buy database support on a shared hosting pack?
No. You need to buy it separately.

Q.17: How much space will I get on the database?
There is no separate additional space given for the database. You will have to use the same space allocated to the domain.

Q.18: Does shared hosting include business email?
No. You can buy it on a particular domain separately.
